In this video, viewers learn how to properly install Diamond Plate rocker panels on Yamaha G14, G16, G19 and G22 models.

After listing the tools needed for the job, the mechanic notes that the first step is to remove the nut and bracket located on the rubber molding so that the panel can cleanly slide under the rubber. He then positions the rocker panel in place and positions the rubber above it.

Using a 7/64” drill bit and wearing protective eyewear, the mechanic then drills holes so that the rocker panels can be screwed into place.

Finally, the mechanic replaces the small bracket and nut against the rubber molding. Before and after images show the difference between the old and new rocker panels.
