Powerwise Charger Board and Diagnostic | How to Repair or Replace Golf Cart Charger

Aug 24th 2017

DIY Golf Cart Garage demonstrates how to diagnose and fix a Powerwise golf cart charger, which is the standard charger for 36 Volt EZGO golf carts. The first step is to verify at least 110 volts are coming into the charger; otherwise, it will not work. The relay, heat sink, diode, capacitor, and transformer are checked for continuity using a multimeter instrument. While it is a good idea to verify all the major parts of the charger are functioning, most of the time the board is the problem—and that is, indeed, the case here. After diagnosing the problem, the board is replaced.
