Club Car Precedent Folding Windshield | How to Install Video | Installing a Golf Cart Windshield
Feb 20th 2018
In this episode, Barry demonstrates the installation process for a folding windshield for Club Car Precedent models 2004 and up. The flip windshield kit enables cart riders to enjoy club cars anytime of the year. It comes in clear or tinted options that are made in the USA.
He starts by carefully removing all the contents from the box, then sets the windshield aside. He installs the bolts from the kit in the pre-drilled hole in the front support of the frame. He then removes a few inches of the protective film at the edge of the windshield, leaving the rest intact to protect during the install.
He attaches the extrusion kit to the windshield on both sides by tapping the C-channel with a rubber mallet before lifting it into place and mounting it to the frame above the notch on both sides. Using the rubber mallet, he taps the kit into place to line up the holes of the extrusion kit to the holes on the front supports. After it’s in place, he installs rubber grommets to keep the windshield from hitting the front cowl when it is folded. Finally, he removes all of the protective film from the glass.
